Mudra Studio makes art tiles and mosaics, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, USA. All products are designed and handmade from white or red earthenware. Mudra Studio products are very environmental, because they are made of low-fire clay and glazes, and are locally-sourced, (for LEED credits).
Why Mudra? (Mood-ruh). Mudra is a sanskrit word for gestures made with hands and fingers. Mud is wet, sticky earth. Ra is the sun god, based on mythology. A studio is a place where artists practice their craft.
